Here's an idea for some "Family Fun." We'll be adding other ideas to this page every week or so, so we encourage you to begin this tradition in your home!

What is FISH??

F.I.S.H. stands for Families Investing in Spiritual Homes.

A priority in CFC Children's Ministry is partnering with families to help parents teach children about faith and character.  We believe what happens at home is even more important than what happens at church!  So ... we are introducing FISH Resources!

Whenever you see the FISH logo, you can know that this resource is intended to be used by you and your children in order to teach spiritual principles and/or create family connection times.  The concept behind FISH is rooted in a Biblical mandate found in Deuteronomy 6:5-9.

Let's face it; all of us want to raise our children in the very best way possible.  We want to be more intentional about passing on a spiritual legacy and the heritage of our faith.  But, few of us feel qualified for such an important and often intimidating assignment.  We hope FISH Resources will assist you in this process.

CFC Children's Ministry is all about helping your children fall in love with Jesus and experience His abundant life.  It's also all about helping YOU become equipped and successful in fulfilling your God-given role as the spiritual leader and trainer in your home.  We look forward to partnering with you!

Things every kid needs …

A really big God … they can trust no matter what happens!

That’s why we put first things first.  Nothing is more important than understanding how to have a relationship with God through His Son, Jesus Christ.  When children learn who He is and what He has done, they discover they can trust Him with anything and everything in their life.  As a parent, you know how unpredictable life can be.  We want to partner with you to help your child grow up and believe that nothing is too big for God to handle!

Friends who believe what they believe! 

Think about it … the friends your children spend time with will ultimately influence the decisions they make in life.  And every parent understands how important it is to help their children find the right friends.  We have designed UpStreet and First Look on Sundays, and Pioneers Clubs on Wednesdays, as a place where children get to hang out in small groups with other kids their age.  We have discovered it is the best place for kids to talk about God, and to build lasting friendships. 

Another voice that says the same things their parents say! 

That’s why small group leaders in UpStreet, First Look, and Pioneer Clubs are serious about having fun with kids and passionate about teaching truth!  Sooner or later your child is going to start listening to voices other than yours.  Every child needs a safe place to ask questions and talk about how they feel.  If you are a smart parent, you know how important it is to make sure there are other adults in your kids’ lives who say the same thing you say.  The reason we encourage you to bring your children to a consistent hour each week at UpStreet, First Look and/or Pioneer Clubs is because we want to establish a leader in every kid’s life who personally connects with them.

Nosey parents who make it their business to know where their kids are spiritually! 

That’s why we encourage parents and kids to come to KidStuf !  We want to give them tools to make their family time a routine.  Do the math … the average child will spend over 1000 hours every year in school and they will spend less than 50 hours in church.  The average parent has over 10 times more opportunities to discuss spiritual issues in one year than a church leader does in 10 years!   We hope you will want to make KidStuf a priority for your family!

Uncommon Sense to help them make wise choices! 

That’s why we make sure the Bible is never boring and kids walk away with one truth to remember each week … always remember.  Your children need a big-picture perspective in life.  They need to learn to see their world from God’s point of view.  As they mature into teenagers they will need to understand how to handle difficult issues and make smart choices.  Their decisions will become progressively more complicated and countless influences will compete against their potential to become who God created them to be. We want to teach every child how to navigate through life by the light of God’s Word!
