Parenting Resources
Some important resources for our parents to use.
F.I.S.H. (Families Investing in Spiritual Homes)
A priority in CFC Children's Ministry is partnering with families to help parents teach children about faith and character. We believe what happens at home is even more important than what happens at church! So ... we are introducing FISH Resources!
Whenever you see the FISH logo, you can know that this resource is intended to be used by you and your children in order to teach spiritual principles and/or create family connection times. The concept behind FISH is rooted in a Biblical mandate found in Deuteronomy 6:5-9.
Let's face it; all of us want to raise our children in the very best way possible. We want to be more intentional about passing on a spiritual legacy and the heritage of our faith. But, few of us feel qualified for such an important and often intimidating assignment. We hope FISH Resources will assist you in this process.
CFC Children's Ministry is all about helping your children fall in love with Jesus and experience His abundant life. It's also all about helping YOU become equipped and successful in fulfilling your God-given role as the spiritual leader and trainer in your home. We look forward to partnering with you!

Milestones
As an individual family … and as a church body … we naturally celebrate faith milestones that matter most - from baby dedications through school graduations. We are excited about marking the moments children take important steps of faith.
Milestones creates opportunities for regular connection between family and church to communicate scriptural truth regarding parenting, appropriate age level expectations, and to celebrate faith steps.
Our Biblical Directive ...
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your child. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. - Deuteronomy 6:5-7, NIV
Our Biblical Example ...
Joshua set up the 12 stones at Gilgal. They were the ones the people had taken out of the Jordan. Then he spoke to the people of Israel. He said, "In days to come, your children after you will ask their parents, 'What do these stones mean?' Their parents must tell them, 'Israel went across the Jordan River on dry ground.' The Lord your God dried up the Jordan for you until you had gone across it. He did to the Jordan River the same thing he had done to the Red Sea. He dried up the Red Sea ahead of us until we had gone across it. He did it so that all of the nations on earth would know that he is powerful. He did it so that you would always have respect for the Lord your God. - Joshua 4:20-24, NIrV
