What’s So Great About Teaching Kids??!

We sometimes feel like telling people to grow up.   But Jesus told his disciples to grow down!  Imagine their silence when Jesus beckoned a child to be their example!   When you hear the words of Jesus, you realize that teaching these “little ones” gets premiere billing in the kingdom of heaven.

God has entrusted you with his most precious asset:  KIDS!

• They are TRUSTING.  Faith comes naturally.  They realize their inability to cope with life and willingly put themselves in others’ care.  Observe the peace on the countenance of a sleeping child.
• They are quick to FORGIVE.  Grudge holding is not natural to childhood.  They forget and move on.
• They’re full of ENERGY AND ENTHUSIASM.  When they discover a good thing, everyone is going to hear about it.
• They are LOVING AND FRESH from God.  Their feelings are real and without pretension.  They’re hungry to know more about the God who created them and loves them.
• They are IMPRESSIONABLE.  If you earn their trust, they’ll put great stock in what you say and do.  Their minds are like jello that has not yet set.  You have a chance to put in all the good stuff right now!
• They are OUR FUTURE.  In just a few years, they’ll be the carriers and communicators of our faith!
