Men at the Cross
Jacksonville, November 6-7

Men at the Cross” is an organization that seeks to challenge men to radically commit to Christ by serving their family, their church, and their community.  The weekend gathering in Jacksonville in November will provide you with a unique opportunity to be encouraged in your own faith as well as be an encouragement to others. For information on the Jacksonville gathering please follow this link: http://www.menatthecross.org/Jacksonville%202009.aspx

About the Men's Ministry

The purpose of Men's Ministry at Christian Family Chapel is to build men into fully functioning followers of Christ (true disciples). These are men who are worshippers, being transformed by God's truth, involved in Christ centered relationships, serving with their gifts, and reaching out to the lost; all in the various context of home, community, workplace and church. To accomplish this, it is our desire to provide men with a clear discipleship path. This path would include fellowship, instruction, accountability and corporate times together.

A New Man to CFC?

If you are new to Christian Family Chapel, please don't be a stranger! The two best ways to get started as a man at CFC are:

1) A class designed for men only - "Disciplines of a Godly Man." This class is offered on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. in Building D (except during summer break). You are welcome to join any Wednesday night. For more information, contact Jerry Dyke.

2) Join a team of men who serve together. A good move to begin is either the parking team (contact Marshall Harrison) or the set-up team (contact Allen Harmon). Parking teams serve one week each month, and set-up teams serve a month at a time, twice a year. For other serving opportunities, stop by the Connect-Grow-Serve gazebo on Sunday mornings between services or contact Mike Parker.

Men's Discipleship Groups

Our desire is to glorify God through a multiplying ministry in which men, who are fully devoted to Christ, disciple men who will, in turn disciple other men. Disciple-making requires a context of extended time in life-on-life relationship. Groups meet at various times throughout the week, either in the morning or evening. The full program includes four studies over a two-year period.

If you are looking for a small group of men that could encourage you in your walk through an experience of life on life discipleship we have numerous groups that currently meet and we are continually forming new groups as men indicate an interest.  If you have completed the Disciplines of a Godly Man study and are interested in joining a discipleship group, email Dave Dingfield or call hime at 886-3092.

Also remember that you are welcome to attend the Disciplines of a Godly Man class that meets each Wednesday evening from 7:00-8:30 in room D1.
