Men
The purpose of Men's Ministry at Christian Family Chapel is to build men into fully functioning followers of Christ (true disciples).
These are men who are worshippers, being transformed by God's truth, involved in Christ centered relationships, serving with their gifts, and reaching out to the lost; all in the various context of home, community, workplace and church. To accomplish this, it is our desire to provide men with a clear discipleship path. This path would include fellowship, instruction, accountability and corporate times together.
If you are new to Christian Family Chapel, please don't be a stranger! The two best ways to get started as a man at CFC are:
- A class designed for men only - "Disciplines of a Godly Man." This class is offered on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. in Building D (except during summer break). You are welcome to join any Wednesday night. For more information, contact Dave Dingfield.
- Join a team of men who serve together. A good move to begin is either the parking team (contact Marshall Harrison) or the set-up team (contact Allen Harmon). Parking teams serve one week each month, and set-up teams serve a month at a time, twice a year. For other serving opportunities, stop by the Connect-Grow-Serve gazebo on Sunday mornings between services or contact Mike Parker.
Life-on-Life Discipleship Groups
Life-on-Life Discipleship involves maturing believers investing in multiplying maturing believers. These small groups of men or women meet for a two-and-a-half-year, five-part study, designed around the concepts of honest and authentic relationships, accountability, centrality of the Word, and multiplication. Small groups meet weekly, at various times, either morning or evening. Groups begin in September or in January.
Men who have completed Disciplines of a Godly Man and are interested in joining a discipleship group, email Dave Dingfield or call hime at 886-3092.
You are welcome to attend the Disciplines of a Godly Man class that meets each Wednesday evening from 7:00-8:30 in room D4, beginning September 7th.
