To the Men of CFC
In the midst of all that you have going on in your life, I want to encourage you to pause and ask an important question:
“How am I proactively ordering my weekly schedule to facilitate growth in Christ?”
Spiritual maturity does not just happen. It is the predictable result of choosing to renew your mind with God’s word on a regular basis. This can, and should, happen on a personal basis with a consistent devotional time, but most of us also need to learn from others who are a little further down the path of spiritual maturity. So, could you use some help? Here are three MEN ONLY options for you to think about:
Men’s Discipleship Groups (See enclosed overview) When: Throughout the week Where: Group determines |
Disciple-making requires a context of extended time in life-on-life relationship. The full discipleship program includes three studies over a two-year period with small group interaction. Contact one of the following to discuss times and locations: Doug Rutt – dougr@christianfamilychapel.com Loren Murray – lpmurray@hotmail.com Dave Dingfield – dashding@comcast.net |
||
Men’s Training Class When: Wednesdays 7-8:30 p.m. Where: D4 |
Disciplines of a Godly Man (begins 8/29) What it means to be a Christian man in today’s world – a frank biblical discussion on major areas of Christian manhood: marriage and fatherhood, godliness, purity, the Christian mind, integrity, leadership, etc. |
||
Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) is an additional opportunity to consider for spiritual growth. BSF is hosted by CFC on Monday evenings from 7-8:45 p.m. and begins on September 10th. For more details, call Bob Nance at 502-8211 or see the BSF website at www.biblestudyfellowship.com.
Before you pass on one of these options remember those who are depending on you to lead as a man of God. Are you leading them as Christ wants you to?
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email or call. Looking forward to growing with you.
By His Grace – For His Glory,
Doug Rutt
Pastor-Teacher
P.S. Our Men’s Retreat is 1/25 – 1/26. It will not be an ordinary time, so plan to sign up EARLY!
