Worship God '09

Several from the CFC band and a few of our vocalists attended the Worship God ’09 conference in Gaithersburg, Maryland, in early August last year. The conference is sponsored by Sovereign Grace Music and is specifically designed to minister to pastors, worship leaders, vocalists and instrumentalists responsible for leading worship in their local church. The following is from one of our vocalists, Dallas Skornia who attended the conference with us this year:

“The conference experience allowed me to connect with those in our CFC praise band that I don’t get to spend much time with. And did we ever spend time together – from sitting together at the conference to sharing breakfast at our hotel to enjoying an extended road trip on the way home from Maryland that included meeting interesting rest area characters, parking for more than an hour on I-95 because of an accident clean-up, and developing our own singing group called the von Traffic family singers. The weekend was a fantastic mixture of scriptural truth, exceptional worship, spiritual growth, and friendship-building. I feel that those of us who participated in the conference have a new perspective on our role as worshippers and worship leaders, and a renewed commitment to putting Christ on full display by using our musical talents for His glory.”
