2012 Short Term Mission Trips

CFC is sponsoring five short term trips this year.

India - June 16-23 for College & Adults
India - November 7-17 for Adults

  • Evangelism in an unreached area of India
  • Anticipated fruit will be a church planted
  • Approximate cost: $3,600 per participant
  • Partnering with East-West Ministries, International

Dr. George Murray, Chancellor, Columbia International University, in a message delivered 1-22-12: "There are more people in India who have never once heard the Gospel than in all of Canada, the United States, all of South America, all of Central America, and the whole continent of Africa."

Costa Rica - July 7-16 for Senior High

This trip is full and listed here for your information as you consider partnership with they by prayer and/or financial support.

  • Outreach to local communities
  • Ministry to the poor
  • Construction projects
  • Approximate cost: $1,100 per participant
  • Partnering with 6:8 Ministries
  • Trip Leader: Adam Alexander

Ukraine - July 13-23 - Adults

  • Serve Ukrainian children (ages 7-16) through English language summer camps
  • Teach a small group of 8-12 children
  • Approximate cost: $2,700 per participant
  • Partnering with Hope, International
  • Trip Leaders: Karla Nachtsheim & Peter Davis

Bahamas - July 14-21 - A Family Missions Trip for Middle School and Parents

If you have a Middle School Student, consider this trip and the spiritual growth that your family can experience together.

  • Ministry to local churches
  • Service projects to local families
  • Children's ministry
  • Construction projects
  • Approximate cost: $1,000 per participant
  • Trip Leader: Bill Winton

Burundi - August 1-14 for Adults - A JESUS Film Project

  • Tiny Burundi, standing at the crossroads of East Africa, is positioned to uniquely influence its neighbors for Christ
  • Our teams will train Christians on how to share their faith using the JESUS Film
  • Will work with pastors from remote villages and will circulate around to several villages within a day's drive of the capital
  • Approximate cost: $4,300 per participant
  • Trip Leaders: JESUS Film leaders Marcus & Shannon Brooks and CFC leader Diane Mangum

Short-Term Trip Brochures and Applications are in the church foyer. Application deadline for the November India trip is August 1.

Other Short-Term Opportunities

If you desire to go on a trip that is not a CFC sponsored trip, and you wish to raise financial support for that trip, please note the following:

  • Acceptance by a missions agency or another church approved by CFC
  • Pick up and complete an Application for Short-Term Trips from the foyer (including reference forms). Submit your completed application and have your reference forms mailed at least 6 weeks before your first monies are due.
  • The Director of Missions will review the application and contact the applicant to schedule an interview with the Missions Team, if applicable.
  • Upon return, attend a debriefing/follow up meeting with the missions agency, CFC missions leader, or team leader.
