Ministry Focus

To minister to athletes and coaches, and all whom they influence, at the middle school, high school and college level in North Central Florida (Citrus, Hernando, Levy, Marion, Pasco, and Sumter Counties).

Primary Ministries

*Coaches - FCA ministers to coaches through personal contacts and relationships, Coaches’ Bible Studies, and outreaches to coaches on campuses. As a coach is a key to reaching the athletes, it is the key to the FCA ministry. If Tom influences one coach, they can influence other coaches, their team, and other students and student athletes on a campus. Currently, Tom has a Coaches Bible study at one school and is hoping for several studies to be present through the North Central Florida area.

*Campus - FCA ministers to the local school campuses through team chapels with chaplains, team Bible Studies, athletic outreaches, and the huddle group. This year we have had team chaplains from local churches serve with us and as a result have seen many students come to Christ. Tom has also had the opportunity to minister on the campus during huddle meetings and club days seeing over 25 students make a commitment to Christ on their school campus during the school day!

*Camps - FCA has many local and national camps. Tom serves as Camp Director for a local Leadership Camp and Huddle Leader Coordinator at a National Camp in Boiling Springs North Carolina. He is currently serving on a southeast camp committee developing the future of Leadership Camps for FCA in the southeastern United States.

*Community - FCA ministries reach the community through partnerships with the local churches, businesses, parents and volunteers. These ministries not only reach out to the community, but also allow the community to invest in athletes and coaches. Tom interacts with individual donors, churches, businesses, golf tournaments and outreaches to develop community support for our ministry.

Prayer Requests

• Tom’s opportunity to be on campus. Because of new Florida Legislation, along with individual county policies and people’s fear about our ministries’ goal, Tom has encountered many obstacles this year as he goes on campus and meets with athletes and coaches.
• Our family, as we raise our children and make decisions for our family.
• Continued financial support for the ministry.
• Development of more chaplains on campus and coaches Bible Studies.
